So this week was the first week of classes, boring stories not much to tell there. This was also really our first week here, meaning our first week of survival. Coming back from the islands on Sunday sucked because all of the markets were closed, meaning I have no way of buying food, so I had to eat out. I eventually went food shopping, 3 times in 2 days, and probably spent about 40 euro. That food is now almost all gone. I like to eat and now have nothing to cook, no recipes, so SEND me your recipes! Please! Also don't be afraid to comment and what not, let me know you're alive....but mainly send me your recipes. I cooked a legitimate dinner twice for myself this week, which are pictured below, the rest of the nights I pretty much ate breakfast. My attempt at fried eggplant was hilarious, definitely should have breaded with flour, I pretty much ate straight up olive oil. Tonight I made myself caprese because i love mozzerella and tomatoes, it was fairly decent. As always salad and pasta are staples in my diet. I noticed I use a lot of butter, oil and salt....not very healthy. I'm defrosting chicken breasts currently so I can fry them later on today and freeze them for the rest of the week, because let me just say, being in class until 8:30 every night then coming home, making dinner, cleaning dishes, and doing homework is not at all fun. Well the cooking would be fun if I had the right ingredients and time to enjoy it, but that's besides the point. I'll probably do a bunch of cooking this weekend so I can eat during the week...I plan to make banana bread....nom nom nom, although I'm lost without chocolate chips.

Anyways, tomorrow is Friday and I have no classes. I'm going to the open air market (they happen twice a week) and hopefully venturing up to the national gardens, hanging in Syntagma for the day, and then, for a homework assignment, observing Greeks at a kafe. There will most likely be pictures to come, but in the mean time, send me your recipes!
